About

In our opinion…

Each life is inherently personal and distinctive, with each person having to undertake commitments and responsibilities that have present and sometimes future legal ramifications. According to our legal system, ignorance of the law is no excuse. And of course, not everyone can be abreast with all areas of the law. This is why we are here to support and inform you about the legal aspects of your life. Whether for a wedding, a real estate transaction, a death, an incapacity, adoption, contract analysis, contract drafting or any other situation where legal advice or prevention law would be useful, we can help you and thus avoid possible legal conflicts for you.

The Will

The will is the last legal written expression you leave to your loved ones. Sometimes, this last testament can be perceived as a “necessary evil” to avoid “intestate” successions, to appoint a guardian to a minor child or to avoid the possibility that an unwanted person inherits your property. However, from a positive stance, the notarized will should be perceived as an indispensable deed to inform those you love not only about the mechanics of bequeathing your property, but to have the last word in your own personal way. The drafting of your will is limited only by the legal framework; the rest should reflect your personality. This is why it is important to choose your notary with the greatest care so that they can best navigate the legal roadblocks while honoring the subtleties of your individual self.

The anticipated medical directives

Advance medical directives is the best way to ensure that medical professionals will abide by your wishes to receive or refuse certain types of medical care, in the event of your inability to express yourself. These directives have binding legal value and cannot be contested by any third party. Advance medical directives given by notarial deed under the professional advice of your notary, will be forwarded to the Register of advance medical directives managed by the RAMQ and accessible to all health professionals.
